Cuban-born Ezequiel Torres is a highly acclaimed
batá drummer based in Miami, Florida. In 2008, he was awarded
the Florida Folk Heritage Award by the Florida State Department.
He is considered by many to be the most outstanding
craftsman of batá drums in the United States, also making congas, shekerés, cajones
and the beautiful beaded tapestries that "dress" the batá.
Ezequiel will ship his drums anywhere

Ezequiel performs at religious and traditional
celebrations, festivals and events throughout the world, playing
batá, agbé (guiro), cajón and Yesá.
He offers batá lessons to select students
